MILLED TOOTH – FLAT, WITH & WITHOUT TANG
Called a Milled Tooth because the teeth are actually cut out by a milling machine – very coarse. Flat without taper, parallel in thickness and width, no edge teeth – safe edges. These files are designed for smooth, fast work on annealed steels and hard plastics. These shear nonferrous metal with ease – such as aluminum, bronze, copper, as well as fiberglass and hardened resins.
Only the Milled Files without tang are also called ‘flexible blades’ because they can bend slightly, or Body Files for filing welds or sheet metal surfaces in automotive construction. Best used attached to a style #72 adjustable holder (our part #39430) or a stiff wooden holder, our part # 39401. All meet or exceed US Government specifications GG-F-325b.
