PARALLEL MACHINE FILES

Swiss Pattern Files, meaning made as per Swiss specification for precision files. The overall length is 8″ with 6″ of cutting surface. The 2″ shank used to anchor the file in the machine chuck is an extension of the file shape without teeth. Normal file teeth have a positive rake so the file can successfully remove material in a forward motion over the surface. Because parallel machine files are filing constantly both in the up and down stroke of the machine, these double cut file teeth have a neutral pitch so there will be no material catch under normal pressure applied.
